Welcome to Honors English 11!
Welcome t o Honors English 11!Here, you can find out everything about Honors English. Honors English 11 is a great class to take, for every student gets the opportunity to read amazing books and do wonderful projects. In my Honors English class, we have learned many things about History, the background of people's lives, the emotion of the characters, and much more. Not only does English help you with grammar skills, vocabulary, and formal language, it also let's you experience the lives of many human beings, get in touch with the characteristics of a character, and find the secret message the author always hides. In my class, I have done many projects and read many stories in which our class was able to go deep into the character's emotions and learn how the outside world affected their feelings, and how they would express their feeling when approached. It is not easy to write and prove a point in a strong way. However, when taking this class, I learned that letting out your feelings onto a piece of paper is the best approach to take. When taking this class, I have learned to love book s I thought I would hate, and make projects i thought I could never do. Overall, not taking this course w ould be a great loss. Here are some of the things we have done, which to me were extremely fun:

Macbeth by William Shakespeare
Macbeth was a great play to read. In this play, Shakespeare teaches readers how the supernatural, greed, selfishness, and vulgarity can hurt the person that expresses them. The main character, Macbeth, used to be a strong noble gentleman. However, once he interacted with the witches of Scotland, he turned into a monster, killing everyone he was mad at. This is an exciting novel to read and will leave readers wanting more.
Newspaper Project on Macbeth
After reading Macbeth, we made a fun and creative project in which everyone was able to make a front page cover of a newspaper. Except, this was not a modern paper. We were able to make a newspaper taking place in the Elizabethean Era. While doing this project, i was able to learn the great stylings of the 1500s. We were allowed to make an advertisment, which was amazing. Our front cover story was the best part. We used the events from macbeth to make a huge atricle of what happened. I was able to talk about the murders that occured in scotland, and everbody's reaction to it.
A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennesse Williams
After reading Macbeth, our class was able to read another great book. This was about how a sister meets her sister after ten years of not seeing each other. This is a great book to read because you learn about the characters' emotions. If you are a person that loves secrets, this is an amazing book to read because there are a lot of secrets and plot twists. Tennesse Williams also incorparates his life with his novels, making it all the more interesting. You can learn more about Williams than you think! Overall, reading this book was so much fun. The book even comes with pictures from the movie, and the broadway production, just so the reader can get a sense of how each character acted and the facial expressions they put on to acheive a great scene.
